What does it mean to "fill the frame with what you like"
It is important Why?
How can someone make sure
I think that filling the frame with what I like is just making sure that the focus of the picture is actually the focus. What I mean by this is that there shouldn't be a lot of other things in your picture that would distract from the actual focus. It is important because by filling the frame with what I like, I'm making sure that the whole picture shows the topic that I intend. Someone can make sure that they are "filling the frame with what they like" by looking over the picture and seeing if they can immediately tell what their topic was. A way they could do this is by closing their eyes and open them and see what their eyes first catch on to. If it was not the topic that the photographer intended they probably were not filling the frame with what they liked correctly.

How was the process for me?
The whole process of taking this final picture was both helpful and tedious for me. I liked that on the second day I went out to the courtyard knowing what I was going to take a picture of and how it should look. The part where I actually had to do the process was what I found tedious. Although, in the end it was very helpful to know exactly what I was supposed to do
Was I able to capture what I envisioned?
Although it took a couple of tries, I was somewhat able to capture the picture that I wanted.
What do you like / dislike about the final picture?
The picture finally came out the way I wanted it to after about 3 or 4 tries. I like how the thick trunk is in the middle and how the branches all go out the way I wanted it to. Another thing I like about the branches is that they lead my eyes all across the picture. What I don't like about it is how there are a couple random branches that come out in places where I would prefer they wouldn't. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied about how the picture came out.
How could it be improved?
It might be because I do not know enough about photography, but the only thing that I can really think of is to have the middle trunk of the tree more prominent so that the other branches do not distract to much.
