The Story/meaning behind this picture: The stable I ride at has a couple of ponies like this. They look super cute and cuddely right? Wrong. Something around 2 years ago, when I first started learning how to jump. My coach didn't have any proper jumping horses. So I had to ride these small ponies. There was one black pony (I don't remember his name) who wasn't bad and actually got over the jumps, he was a little stubborn but at least he jumped. As my coach got new horses for me to ride, we still used the black pony for relay races (the jumps in the actual showjumping part were to big for him). However, before we got any of those good show quality horses there was another pony I trained on for jumping that looked exactly like the little guy here in the picture (not this guy though). This was the most stubborn pony I've ever met and was completely determined to NOT jump. There wasn't a single jumping lesson (with the ponies) where I wasn't thrown off that guy (luckily it wasn't a long way to fall), and I find it very funny that this pony can stand here looking adorable and sweet when really they can be the worst nightmare.
Who: The subject of my photo is this small pony. He isn't interacting with anybody, and there are no other minor subjects.
What: The pony here is standing and looking cute like they always do. The picture shows that the wall and the wooden separator between horse stalls is a lot higher then the actual pony. This helps the story because it shows how little he is.
Side note: all the other horses come up way above those lines.
When: This "story" was a couple weeks ago (from October 14th) while I was just going around taking pictures of this pony after I was done with my lesson. This guy is probably not young, but he is still tiny (probably the smallest there), and that just makes it more ironic that they (not this pony specifically) can be such a nightmare.
Where
The location is the stable I ride out in one of the stalls where the separator was knocked out so they could keep 5 ponies in "one." stall. I don't think that it strengthens the story, but to the pony that stall is home.
Why
I've been pretty wary of the ponies since my lessons, but I couldn't resist taking a picture because of how cute and innocent they look!
How
There isn't any interaction, but I think that the pony is staring pretty hard at my camera. I think that a random person looking at this picture would just see the cute and innocent side of these ponies, and not see the fact that they can be very dangerous in ways they probably couldn't imagine.
